When writing is in your blood, in your guts and in your heart and mind, you are never free—you are a prisoner in a velvet prison of words springing from that great well within. It is a curse and a blessing at the same time. Even now, at age 88, I smile at my shackles that have given me wings and balance.

Having learned many lessons over these decades I decided to share these hard earned wins. They are so clear and obvious to me today. I needed to simplify them for others so they could then boldly go where they had previously feared to tread. Notice I said “needed.” I had no choice. I had to get it said. It is bursting inside and I must let it out or there is a feeling of loss, and after many of these losses because of inability to write it at the time, I have a kind of dead feeling inside. I always have pen and paper to at least scratch down a hint of what I must say, or, like a dream it whiffs away forever.

I consolidated each major category of writing, from fiction to nonfiction to poetry and blogging, and broke each category down into easy to understand and apply segments with examples and drills.

The title to the first edition is “Do you have a story that should be told? This book will help you write it. It was published under this title, and since I realized it didn’t have needed keywords, I have a new cover, which is below. See the new title that says it better. It is the same book with some modifications. I will do these modifications as I narrate “Command Influence,” another of my five novels.

Now I have over 3,000,000 words in print in every genre and category in articles, blogs, poetry, fiction and non fiction–from tales of the courtroom, stories of my life in court and as an attorney for 43 years, to gardening to the second amendment, fishing and how to succeed in marriage. I have had a life!!!

I will never be idle, for idleness means my brief spell in this “illusory dimension and illusory time” is wasted. For some reason I am compelled to do this, perhaps one fine moment I will learn why.
